Kerikeri was the first place the Europeans were welcomed to settle in NZ. Today, it is nestled in a rich array of fruit orchards (picking season: April - July), bush walks and arts and crafts (not to mention wineries and the chocolate factory). At the heart of the Bay of Islands, is only 20 minutes drive to gorgeous untouched beaches, Kauri forests and walks, Waitangi (the birth place of our nation), Paihia and the unique Ngawa hot thermals pools.
A comprehensive Bay of Islands tour booking service is available at the hostel. Tours include, swim with dolphins, sail on a tall ship or modern yacht, cruise the Bay and see the hole in the rock
or fish for your dinner. Paddle with coastal kayakers, dive to the Rainbow Warrior wreck, take a nature tour or reach the northern tip of NZ with the Cape Reinga/Ninety mile beach tours.
Features: A quiet, restful, garden hostel nestled in a eucalyptus forest that leads to the Kerikeri River. Enjoy a game of volleyball or badminton or lie back on the lawn with a book and your thoughts. Play a game of pool or darts inside or enjoy the couch and warmth of the fire.
The hostel also has a separate cottage that suits couples, families or groups and sleeps up to 6 people. The cottage is self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen, shower, toilet and laundry.
